A Message From Andy Kelly, Company President:
Our journey began in the bustling restaurant industry, where the focus was always on people and exceptional customer service. Starting as a busboy and working my way up to a national service trainer, I learned the art and science of building teams and keeping customers happy.
Restaurants were my life, but everything changed in 2008 when I met my amazing wife and business partner-to-be, Stefanie, here in the Houston Area.
Soon after my wife and I began dating, I transitioned from Carrabba’s Italian Grill to Pappas Bros. Steakhouse in the Galleria, which was well-known for its exceptionally high standards, which further honed my skills in providing top-notch service through a systematic process.
It was there that I realized my passion for customer satisfaction could be applied beyond the walls of a restaurant.
After dedicating seven successful years to one of the largest roofing contractors in Texas, I risked everything to bring my customer service philosophy to life in a company of my own. In 2015, 314 Roofing Solutions was born, with a mission to treat every client like royalty, just as I had learned in my restaurant days.
In 2008, I took a leap of faith from the restaurant industry into roofing. My first job application in roofing was embarrassingly unsuccessful, being told I did not have the right experience. Undeterred, I collaborated with a close friend in the industry and hatched a plan to generate sales for his brother’s roofing company “without pay” during the day while waiting tables at night.
After six months, the hard work paid off, and after seeing the results of my unpaid efforts, I was hired (by the same company that rejected me the first time) to start and develop a custom homes division, where we consistently shattered sales records by applying the same customer service principles that made the restaurants I trained in successful.
By 2015, my personal development had outgrown the limitations of the company I was with, which created one of the most challenging decisions I’ve ever had to make. Through the help, support, and guidance from my mentor and previous employer, my wife Stefanie and I took the biggest gamble of our lives and decided to branch out and create 314 Roofing Solutions.
Our focus on customer service set us apart, and we quickly gained a reputation for excellence. Despite the challenges, we never let egos get in the way and always prioritized our clients’ satisfaction. These foundational years were about establishing our brand and proving to ourselves that we could bring a new level of service to the roofing industry.
From 2020 to 2024, we navigated the growing pains of a rapidly expanding business. Our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction however never wavered, even as we scaled up operations.
We invested in cutting-edge technology and training, ensuring our team could provide the best possible service. These years were about refining our processes, building a strong team, and solidifying our reputation as a top-rated roofing contractor in Houston. Our dedication paid off, and our 5-star reviews speak to the success of our approach.
